The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 一部最多只可以给到三颗星的爱情轻喜剧。几乎是看完这部影片后的同时，又重新看了一遍约翰库萨克的《缘分天注定》，相比20年前的作品，爱情轻喜剧在这20年里几乎是没有任何新的发展与进步，原地踏步不说，还可能呈现出某种退步。
男主角身材长相都不可否认的好 但是剧情真的是乱七八糟奇形怪状
导演试图通过此片来演绎津巴多在《路西法效應》一书中所揭示的“情景力量场域”及其阴暗心理，电影用相对软化的无限德州扑克赌局来替代伊拉克阿布葛拉伊布监狱中的那种场域，而男主角则是以一个耽溺于小赌养生的“创伤后自了汉”在被“唤醒”后一举卸下心防，克服魔障，自行判罚，剪除祸乱。
