The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 为了游乐园里的项目，做一部电影。迪士尼经常干这种事情，比如加勒比海盗。但是，这部电影过于无趣，跟巨石强森在里面讲的冷笑话一样。这种程度，是无法创造成功的。（殖民就是这样，听了某个传说，跑到大海另一边，毁灭了原住民的部落，兴建市镇，霸占土地，再以胜利冒险者的姿态，诉说自己传播了文明，并获得声望。）
啊呀，怎么会有这么矛盾的人物画像，前期弗兰克的pants发言实在是太多了，多到我无法相信怎么就吻上了呢。。话说莉莉不是要拿花去拯救苍生吗，最后还是败给爱情了呗舍弃全世界救一个人呗，没有说这样不好的意思纯粹觉得和前面的人设有悖，弗兰克本来像个丧尸一样活着突然又要牺牲自己一样。
感觉像是加勒比海盗与夺宝奇兵的结合体，我其实挺喜欢这类型的寻宝电影的。巨石强森感觉天生是喜剧而生，一看到他就觉得肯定是动作喜剧，又是我喜欢的类型。有些桥段真的很搞笑，也真的很像加勒比海盗，船长，诅咒，不过差距也真的是有的，迪士尼想复制加勒比海盗的成功是泡汤了。电影整体只能说中规中矩，但强森还是能加分不少，至少我挺喜欢，也在想会不会有续集。
三星半，因为对女探险家的角色塑造超越预期加了半星。大多数时候还是典型的精打细算好莱坞爆米花电影，大型迪士尼水上项目宣传片。而且最后五分钟强行发糖让我很愤怒！whitehall小哥的角色这么可爱，非要组cp为啥不能给他发个cp！
迪士尼老套冒险片，连细节几乎都差不多，看开头猜结尾，他们家的电影总有一种“一本两拍”的既视感，全在意料之中，但偶尔也不乏一些有趣的部分以及漂亮的女主。★★☆
程式化的一部作品，还不如木乃伊惊险刺激，也就哄小孩看看。

不死之身之前好看，之后就儿戏了。不过先想想香港迪士尼这个项目卡其布俊男美女服务员，再看看精美的良心大制作很认真，又叨叨无脑合家欢也是不常见，就又挺喜欢这片儿了。CP也是蛮好，不输前辈作品。

这很迪士尼！娱乐性超强的片子，你要说有多深刻必然没有，但观影过程真的很愉悦！画面视觉呈现好棒，亚马逊真是太美了！节奏很快还穿插着各种奇奇怪怪的笑点hhh唯一不太能接受的是把巨石强森和艾米丽布朗特凑一对，毫无CP感谢谢。把德意志皇子刻画得那么傻帽，老美这把子黑一战时期的德国人好狠啊。最后希望魔都的迪士尼乐园能照着这个片子里的亚马逊探险整一个项目！PS这部国内上映第一个周末没有原声版，票房真是扑得妈不认太惨了。

强森的喜剧表演是唯一看点 整部片子看起来就像是一篇有字数限制的不及格小说 前半段把人物环境故事等描写的很生动 但也因此花费大量篇幅 导致真正的高潮部分已无字数展开 剧情发展和结尾的低劣套路让人顿感开头的铺垫索然无味

客观的说，与之前相比，岩石这次的角色还是有很大的区别的。比如，他戴了一个帽子。
挺好看的。可惜已经能看到艾米丽布朗特已经开始老了。大片爽片，搞笑又精彩。

烂俗的剧情，杀人遇小孩，退休退不成，导师也背叛，这种剧情，还不如死条狗灭一帮派有意思呢，都看腻了。剧情后面都看困了，枪战那部分慢镜头很无聊，大部分剧情能猜到，动作戏也没很惊艳的地方……
