The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? Wilmette Theater。像Joaquin Phoenix会接的戏（他似乎一直对next generation的生活状态抱有一种悲观主义）一些纪录片技法+声效的运用挺有趣 大小两主演演技极好。黑白美则美也 意义似乎不大 浮于表面形式。不论从剧作 呈现形式 还是主题意义上都略显肤浅。片子像一个休闲下午随意喝了杯淡淡的气泡酒 喝完易忘 甚至不打嗝儿。

适合一个人窝在角落看的电影，两代人心灵伤痛的症结沟通。导演从一开始就埋下的暗线：以原生家庭为起点的生长环境给后代以及后代的后代酿造的悲剧。性格深处的伤痕塑造了人的方方面面，引来或是被引向相似的人，然而悲哀的是没有人能够解决这一切，在自我挣扎中走向灭亡仿佛是宿命。
