The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 最令人动容的其实是之前那个舞会皇后说的，扔掉皇冠，拿到学位，开始对未来期待，而不是对过去遗憾。改变什么时候都不晚。

Narrative is fluent and the performance of the two leading roles are good enough. Still the main issue is about the script. As a documentary movie, clearly it wasn’t realistic enough. When there’s a challenge comes to them, the audience wants to know the whole process of how they dealing with it in such a awful situation not a frame of days number.

了解主创想把90年代的校园电影带回给如今的观众，但是假欢乐有点多。预告片比正片好看。

戏剧张力和表现力不够。但荒野求生的感觉是有点了。
不错的电影，虽然属于传记片，但是故事还是比较简单的，一个不良少年，一个支离破碎的家，一身毛病，天天打架的人，为了追求女孩，加入天主教，最后成为一个虔诚的神父。导演通过很多喜剧元素加入到一个其实挺沉重挺严肃的电影中，让这样的传记片电影不在沉闷。同时让整部电影都形成对应和对比。混混变神父，喜剧对应严肃的宗教。开始小孩轻盈的舞蹈对应最后主人翁肌肉萎缩，生活不能自理。导演利用前后对应的关系，让整部电影更完整更充实。看完会轻轻感叹，之前每个镜头都有她的用意。
