The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 其实是百老汇原版舞台剧的实拍，但实在是精彩绝伦，再次遗憾错失参加原版舞台剧北京巡演的机会。从另一个角度看9.11事件给大众带来的影响，这个名叫纽芬兰的小岛向所有到来的客人张开双手拥抱他们，以互助和包容照顾他们，在这个特殊时刻让来自世界各地的人感受到爱和支持。无论你是谁，无论你来自哪里，这一刻大家相聚在一起，这一刻大家都是纽芬兰人。
而这对于他们来说，又有什么所谓呢，最后的大尺度亦水到渠成。
